- Welcome to The Cursive Club! Today's letter is r.
- Cursive is movement on paper. Body, arm, wrist, hand, pencil.
- Stand up, and spin a hula hoop with me!
- Swing way up, make a little check mark, slide down, and out!
- Up, a little check, down, and out. That's the letter r.
- Now watch the letter r.
- Start on the baseline. Swing up a little above the midline.
- Make a little check mark.
- Slide down, and curve out.
- Again, a little faster. Up, check, down, out.
- Now, nice and quick.
- Your turn! Trace the gray letters in your book.
- Go slow, and start at the dot.
- Keep your pencil on the paper. It's all one stroke.
- Go up a little past the midline, then make the check.
- Great job, cursive star! Pause and practice on your page!
